The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | A | Its narrow weeping form gives a strong vertical look without taking over the whole bed. |
| Growth Rate | B | It can move along well once established, but the finished shape still takes time to develop. |
| Maintenance | B | It usually needs little pruning, but young trees should keep one strong leader and may need light correcting. |
| Deer Resistance | A- | Deer rarely bother this tree; it is a dependable choice where deer are a concern, though young trunks can still be rubbed. |
| Small Space Fit | A- | Its narrow habit works well in smaller beds, but the lower branches still need room to hang naturally. |
| Screening Value | C | It can interrupt a small view, but it is not shaped to build a full privacy screen. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we'd typically place this where it can stand alone, with mulch beneath the skirt and no crowded shrubs pressing into the lower branches.
