Grade
Why
Landscape Impact
A-
Good installation helps plants sit where they should and makes the finished project look more settled from day one.
Growth Rate
C
Installation does not make a plant grow faster, but proper planting helps avoid setbacks.
Maintenance
B+
A clean install can reduce early corrections, though watering and follow-up care still belong to the homeowner.
Deer Resistance
C
The service does not change deer pressure, so plant selection still matters.
Small Space Fit
B
Installation helps with careful placement in tight areas, but access and soil conditions can limit what can be done.
Screening Value
A-
For privacy rows, installation is often worth it because straight spacing and consistent depth matter.
Our Experience
At PGNE, we'd typically recommend installation for heavier plants, privacy screens, and projects where spacing matters. For one or two small shrubs near easy access, DIY may be enough.
Customers Usually Ask
Does installation include watering?
Initial settling may be handled, but ongoing watering is the homeowner’s job.
Can you install any plant?
Usually, but access, soil, slope, and site readiness can affect the plan.
Is installation worth it?
Yes for larger plants and screens; maybe not for small, easy DIY jobs.
Arrived on time. Did a clean and complete installation of our new tree. They also were able to answer a few questions as well. Very satisfied with the experience.

The crew was very friendly and walked the property with me before planting so we could discuss where the trees would be planted. They were very thorough and left the property clean afterwards. Definitely recommend their installation service.

I went up there today from Quincy MA to pick up two Blue Wichita Junipers and they were absolutely beautiful. Thank you, Chris and everybody from Pro Growers of New England!

The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

Great prices and Unbelievable selection of big and small trees, shrubs, and flowering perennials! Nicest folks to work with. And local delivery is awesome! First time purchasing from this company, , and have already told friends, neighbors and family. The owner Chris is professional, knowledgeable, and yet laid back in a most friendly way. Mags in the office will help with any details. My all time BEST garden purchase EVER!
Bought 8-10 ft and all were barely 8 if you count the container. Trees are thin and lots of brown branches and broken branches due you thrown in box truck no wrapping or anything. Hoping they survive and thicken up quick…
