The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | A- | The dark foliage gives it more presence than many spring-flowering shrubs. |
| Growth Rate | B+ | It fills in at a useful pace, but it is not a quick privacy screen. |
| Maintenance | B | Plan on light shaping after bloom if you want it tidy near the house. |
| Deer Resistance | B+ | Deer tend to leave this alone, though hungry deer may sample it where pressure is heavy. |
| Small Space Fit | B | It works in tighter beds if you give it room instead of crowding it. |
| Screening Value | D | It drops leaves in winter and should not be used for year-round screening. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we’d typically place Tuxedo Weigela where the foliage can contrast with green shrubs, stone, or light siding, not where it has to carry a bed by itself all winter.
