The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | A- | It gives strong vertical structure without the stiff look of many screening evergreens. |
| Growth Rate | B | It should make steady progress once established, but it is not the fastest screen we sell. |
| Maintenance | B | It needs little shaping if placed correctly, but poor siting will create pruning problems later. |
| Deer Resistance | A- | Deer rarely bother this tree; it is a dependable choice where deer are a concern, though young trunks can still be rubbed. |
| Small Space Fit | B | Its very narrow columnar habit fits tighter spots than most pines, though it still gains real height. |
| Screening Value | A- | It works well where you want height and privacy with a looser, natural edge. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we'd typically recommend this when a customer likes white pine but does not have room for a standard wide pine. Give it space up front rather than planning to prune it hard later.

Customers Usually Ask
Will it work as a privacy screen?
Yes, if you want a softer, narrow screen and can allow mature height.
Is it deer resistant?
It has good deer resistance, but no evergreen should be treated as immune.
Can I shear it like arborvitae?
No; light correction is fine, but hard shearing ruins the natural pine form.
