The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | B+ | It gives a clean vertical look, but it is more practical than showy. |
| Growth Rate | B | Growth is steady, though not as quick as larger screening arborvitae. |
| Maintenance | A- | It usually needs little shaping if planted with enough room. |
| Deer Resistance | C | This is not the arborvitae to gamble on where deer feed heavily. |
| Small Space Fit | A | Its narrow habit makes it one of the better privacy choices for tight yards. |
| Screening Value | A- | It makes a dense screen where space is limited, but wider sites have faster options. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we'd typically recommend North Pole® Arborvitae for homeowners who want a clean evergreen screen but do not have room for a broad hedge.

Customers Usually Ask
Is North Pole® better than Emerald Green?
Choose North Pole® when space is tighter or you want steadier winter color; choose Emerald Green for a slightly fuller, more traditional arborvitae row.
Will deer leave it alone?
No guarantee here; if deer are a regular problem, choose a different screening plant.
Does it need pruning?
Usually not much, beyond correcting stray growth or keeping the row neat.
