The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | B+ | The foliage carries the show longer than the flowers, giving useful color in small beds. |
| Growth Rate | B | It fills in at a steady pace without becoming hard to manage. |
| Maintenance | B | A light trim after bloom helps keep the mound dense and prevents a tired look. |
| Deer Resistance | B+ | Deer tend to leave this alone, though hungry deer may sample it where pressure is heavy. |
| Small Space Fit | A- | Its compact habit works well near walks, entries, and smaller planting beds. |
| Screening Value | D | It is too low and deciduous to block views or create privacy. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we'd typically recommend Goldmound Spirea for color at the front of a bed, not for structure or screening. Give it room to mound instead of shearing it into a hard shape.
