Picea pungens 'Blue Select'
Choose Blue Select Colorado Spruce if you want a tough blue evergreen as a main lawn or windbreak tree; the tradeoff is space—it grows broad and stiff, so it is not for tight foundation beds.

The needles hold blue color well through winter when the tree is sited well.
Spruce is generally a good bet where deer browse, but hungry deer can sample almost anything.

Good size but tree seemed to be root bound. Tree budding late August.
