The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

Achillea millefolium 'Paprika'
Choose Paprika Yarrow if you want tough, warm-color perennial massing for a dry, sunny bed; the tradeoff is the red flowers age lighter, so it will not stay the same deep shade all season.
Buy This If
- You want red summer color.
- Your soil runs dry.
- You like pollinator activity.
Skip This If
- The bed stays wet.
- You need tidy blooms without deadheading.
- Deer pressure is heavy.
PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | B+ | The red-to-salmon flower shift gives good summer color, but it is not a fixed-color plant. |
| Growth Rate | A- | It fills in quickly for a perennial when planted in the right dry, sunny conditions. |
| Maintenance | B | It is not fussy, but spent blooms look better when cut back. |
| Deer Resistance | A- | Deer usually pass this by, since the foliage deters browsing, though no plant is completely immune where pressure is severe. |
| Small Space Fit | B+ | Its compact clumping habit works in smaller beds if you give it airflow. |
| Screening Value | F | This is a flowering perennial, not a plant for privacy or blocking views. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we'd typically recommend Paprika Yarrow for hot, lean beds where richer perennials struggle. Avoid pairing it with plants that need steady moisture.
