The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | A- | The early pink bloom gives this tree strong seasonal presence before most other ornamentals have started. |
| Growth Rate | B | It grows at a steady pace, so it will not give instant structure but should not feel stalled. |
| Maintenance | B | Plan on good siting, watering during establishment, and occasional pruning rather than heavy annual work. |
| Deer Resistance | C- | Deer readily browse and rub young trees like this, so protect it while it establishes where pressure is heavy. |
| Small Space Fit | B- | It fits many residential yards but still needs open space around it to look right. |
| Screening Value | D | This is a flowering accent tree, not a plant we would use for privacy. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we’d typically recommend Okame Cherry where the goal is early spring color in a visible spot, not where the customer needs shade, screening, or a long bloom season.
