The plants are beautiful and all 13 were consistent in height and width. And at a fraction of the cost of other garden centers. Having the team that delivered them do the planting was one of the best values I can think of. They did a great job from start to finish and even helped me with my watering system which they didn’t have to do!

PGNE Report Card
| Category | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape Impact | B+ | The blue late-season flowers stand out, but the plant has a soft, informal look rather than a bold architectural shape. |
| Growth Rate | B | It fills in at a steady pace during the growing season without becoming a large, fast-spreading shrub. |
| Maintenance | B- | Plan on cutting it back in spring and avoiding overwatering, especially after a rough winter. |
| Deer Resistance | A- | Deer usually pass this by, since the foliage deters browsing, though no plant is completely immune where pressure is severe. |
| Small Space Fit | A- | Its compact habit works well near walks, patios, and low mixed borders where larger shrubs would crowd the space. |
| Screening Value | F | This is a low flowering accent, not a plant for privacy, enclosure, or blocking views. |
Our Experience
At PGNE, we'd typically recommend this for sunny edges, mailbox beds, and pollinator pockets where drainage is good. Do not tuck it into damp shade and expect it to perform.
