Red Baron Ninebark is a hardy native shrub known for its rich burgundy-red foliage, clusters of soft pinkish-white flowers in late spring, and attractive exfoliating bark that provides winter interest. New growth emerges a brilliant red before maturing to deep burgundy, creating season-long color that stands out in foundation plantings, mixed borders, privacy screens, and naturalized landscapes.
As a selection of our native Eastern Ninebark, Red Baron® is exceptionally tough, thriving in poor soils, drought, heat, and cold while requiring very little maintenance. It also attracts pollinators in spring and provides four-season interest throughout landscapes in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine.
